Fair Trade Tours: Unconventional Travel to the Front Lines of Fair Trade

Join us as we explore the world of fair trade as a viable alternative to the global economic system. Celebrating cultural diversity and promoting environmental sustainability, we visit projects and organizations that are at the front lines of the fair trade revolution around the globe.

Our fair trade tours are designed to give you a unique overview into the political, economic and social conditions of the host country as we dive deep into the world of fair trade. By visiting our partner farmers and fair trade collaborators, you'll be challenged to incorporate your experiences gained on the trip into your life upon your return home. From crafts to coffee, we hope to deepen the connections between consumers and producers the world over

Higher Grounds always donates $100 on behalf of each tour participant to a non-profit or community development project in each country we visit.

In addition to an incredible travel experience, Higher Grounds provides in-depth orientation materials and support to ensure that once on the ground, the tour is as enriching as possible.

In addition to offering annual fair trade tours to Mexico, we also offer customized trip for you and your group or family to countries in Africa and South and Central America, led by Higher Grounds owner and co-founder Chris Treter. Contact us for more information!
