Our small-batch artisanal roastery is conveniently located next to our coffee bar, on the grounds of the historic Grand Traverse Commons (for more on the Commons, please visit our Coffee Bar page).The coffee bar and roastery are separated by large interior windows, allowing you watch the roasting process while enjoying a fresh cup of joe in the coffee bar.
We roast all of our coffees on an American-made Diedrich drum roaster, five days a week in X-pound batches in order to ensure the freshest coffee possible. Our skilled roasting staff "cups" – the industry term for sampling – our coffees regularly to ensure consistency, balance and the best flavor and aroma in every batch.
We currently roast more than two dozen single-origin coffees and in-house blends, in addition to offering custom blends for local businesses and non-profits. Roasting to order guarantees that we deliver the highest quality, freshest coffees.
